We, the under signed, fully understanding and agreeing with the claims and objective of this petition, urge the President of the
Metropolitan Area of the Algarve, the President of the Algarve Tourism Board, the Civil Governor of Faro (capital of the Algarve)
and the President of the Commission for the Regional Coordination and Development of the Algarve, to take the necessary
steps to officially make the Algarve an “Anti-Bullfighting Region”, namely by actively encouraging the presidents of all the
Algarvian municipalities to publicly, formally and permanently commit to not allowing the organisation and/or the promotion
of bullfights, and any bullfighting activities, within their cities and villages, making the Algarve a more evolved and humane
region, increasing the interest of foreign tourists around the world to visit it and, possibly, to invest in this region

Dear Minister, I am writing to ask you to use your powers under the Wildlife Order NI 1985 to grant permanent protection to the Irish hare. The Wildlife Order, which is currently being consulted upon is a historic opportunity to protect the hare, and I urge you to act in order to make this happen. Population numbers of the Irish hare, which is endemic to Northern Ireland, have fallen to dangerously low levels and the only way to protect the species is to place a Permanent Protection Order on it.
