This week, countries are gathering in Bangkok as part of the UN preparatory meetings before the Climate Change summit in Copenhagen this December.

Chris Henschel is CPAWS' delegate. He's attending this meeting to ensure governments protect forests and wetlands in the new Climate Change Accord.

Since forest and wetland destruction account for 20% of the world's carbon emissions, we need to take this threat more seriously than we have in the past. Now it's time for action.

The UN Convention on Climate Change offers the opportunity for Canada and governments around the world to MAKE FORESTS COUNT!
