SEE The Cove and SAVE the Dolphins in Japan
Thank you for your continuing help to save the dolphins in Japan! The Cove has been making waves since it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Thanks to your efforts, our petition campaign has generated over half a million signatures. There has been worldwide attention on Taiji and the annual dolphin drives off the coast of Japan. Under intense pressure, Taiji called for a temporary ban on killing bottlenose dolphins. The film, which was originally rejected, was shown at the Tokyo Film Festival due to public outcry. And for the first time since the campaign launched 3 years ago Japanese Media are covering the issue!
But this is just the beginning. Fishermen are still killing Risso dolphins and Pilot Whales and will likely resume killing bottlenose at any time. You can continue to help save Japan's dolphins.
